Xavi Simons spoke to the press after PSV – Heerenveen and was remarkably critical of the team performance.
The player who never gives up and gives everything has a right to speak. The young Simons does not want to lose his teammates, but the team performance just before and after the equalizer was substandard.
Simons started the interview with ESPN fiercely. “There was a lot of lax thinking about it. That is not possible,’ says Simons.
“You start well with 1-0 and then you let it slip. The concentration to continue to the second, third goal was missing. There was lax thinking about it. That is not possible. Now a hard road follows with AZ as the last game. I got the ball from Luuk and I shot it convincingly. Of course it is nice to win the top scorers’ title, but for me the Champions League is the most important thing.”
