PSV’s interest in FC Groningen striker Ricardo Pepi can be called extremely serious.
PSV seems to be planning to continue in the short term for the young American striker, who will leave FC Groningen. In a season full of doom and gloom, the young striker managed to score at least 12 more times for the relegated FC Groningen. PSV will soon make a serious offer for the twenty-year-old American, the Eindhovens Dagblad reports.
According to the regional newspaper, things can gain momentum if PSV manages to qualify for the preliminary rounds of the Champions League on Sunday. FC Augsburg still wants a considerable amount for Pepi, which should cost about ten to eleven million euros. The southern German club previously paid the multiple for the striker, who no longer wishes to return to Augsburg.
Pepi has already clashed with his actual employer on several occasions and so he has instructed his agent to find a new club. Lazio Roma and Feyenoord are now also more than seriously interested in the young attacker, with whom Earnie Stewart manages to maintain good contacts. However, Feyenoord seems less concrete and a bit more ‘reticent’, reports the Eindhovens Dagblad.
The Rotterdammers would have recently had a conversation with Pepi’s management, but are less concrete than PSV is at the moment. The young striker would have become enthusiastic and would like to continue his career in the Eredivisie, with PSV.
