The Levi’s 501 is 150!

May 20 refers to the day in 1873 when Levi Strauss & Co acquired a patent for the application of rivets to trousers. That is why Levi’s® is paying attention to this historic event and their heritage in May of this year. This is done in its purest form, with a tight Shrink-to-Fit™ anniversary-selvedge denim for the 501 Originals, both the men’s and women’s models. The anniversary selvedge pays homage to the original production style of the 501 jeans and contains a special selvedge thread that intertwines “150 years of 501 jeans”. Thanks to that special detail and the distinct wash, the jeans have everything from an exclusive birthday party.

In addition to the anniversary-selvedge denim, a mix of vintage handicraft and patchwork finishes will also appear, which can be found on several Originals, ’90s, Shorts and Trucker Jackets. These striking denim items, with organic handwork and mending, natural degradation and authentic pieces, are an example of innovation.
