Milan van Ewijk is disappointed by the 3-3 draw of sc Heerenveen at PSV. According to the right back, this was the moment to win against a top club.
Van Ewijk regrets the final phase against PSV
Heerenveen has not yet won against a club from the traditional top three this season. In Eindhoven, that victory seemed imminent, but in the final fifteen minutes the team relinquished a 1-3 lead. “If you could ever beat a top club, it was today,” Van Ewijk admits Omrop Friesland.
Van Ewijk himself made the 1-1 and provided the assist for the 1-2. “I felt good, felt ready to play against Xavi Simons. I’ve been analyzing him all week. There are a few moments when I had a slipper, but for the rest I felt good this race.”
“That is also a bit of the Heerenveen of the moment: that you cannot cross the line,” said the disappointed Van Ewijk. “Although we do have the quality for it. We have shown that we can also lead 3-1 against PSV, but then you give it away yourself.”
