Football: Jisp is short of promotion matches

VV Jisp lost no chance to DTA Fortius in the last match and ended up just outside the places that are allowed to play promotion matches.

Blauw Wit W, OFC (Sat) and Sp. Krommenie (sat) still have to fear (in)direct relegation.

3rd class Saturday

OFC (sat) managed to do good business on Saturday with a 1-3 victory over Volewijckers in the fight against direct relegation. With one game to go, the Oostzaners are 3 points ahead of competitor VVA/Spartaan, which has a better goal difference. ZVC’22 also failed to win in the penultimate game, Beverwijk was 3-0 too strong.

4th grade Saturday

Blauw Wit W still has an exciting final day, as it is still not definitively safe. Despite the fact that it booked a nice 1-1 draw at subtopper SVW’27, it saw competitor DTS approach to 2 points.

After the 1-9 defeat against champion Foresters, Sp. Krommenie reach the playoffs against relegation the maximum and still have to watch out for direct relegation.

ZCFC drew 1-1 against DZS in the last home game of the season, while RCZ took its 23rd defeat at St.Adelbert with a 6-2

5th grade Saturday

vv Jisp needed 1 point against number 5 DTA Fortius to reach the promotion matches. However, the team from Amsterdam has been playing with mainly players from the O23 (3rd Division) for several weeks and they were clearly a size too big for the Jispers. With a 1-4 defeat, Peter Tania’s team ended the season in a somewhat sour way.

Westzaan narrowly lost 2-1 to Opperdoes in the last round, while Rood Wit Zaanstad recorded its 2nd victory of the season by beating Purmerland 5-4.
