In recent days it has already been a sign on the wall that Paul Van den Bulck, chairman of the football association, was under heavy fire. Now he has decided to resign himself.
The 58-year-old Van den Bulck made the decision himself, but took flight ahead. The management of the football association already spoke in an open letter this week about a breach of trust after he had behaved in a “derogatory and intimidating manner”.
Van den Bulck himself realized that he could no longer work with the management and today informed the Board of Directors that he would resign.
However, that means that there is currently no CEO and no chairman. Peter Bossaert was fired two months ago after Van den Bulck had hit him hard. For the time being, the day-to-day management will be in the hands of interim CEO Manu Leroy.
