Also Princess Caroline of Monaco at chic in Cannes

If you live in Monaco, Cannes is practically around the corner. And well: a jet set event with a lot of fashion and celebs? Of course, the Monegasque royals won’t let that be said twice.

Last week we wrote about Charlotte Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo who were present at the festive opening of the Cannes Film Festival. Here it was real battle of the brands between Princess Caroline’s daughter and daughter-in-law – with Charlotte as a Chanel ambassador and Beatrice as the face of Dior.

This weekend, the designer party continued as usual, and mothers-in-law also joined her family on the red carpet!

Chic in Chanel

How could it be otherwise: if confidant from the late Karl Lagerfeld and mother of a Chanel ambassador, Caroline also emerged in an outfit that came entirely from the French fashion house.

In a glittery bouclé jacket and wide, white trousers that just barely show a pair of black slippers, and a matching white bag as we are used to from Chanel: the Princess of Hanover looked chic.

Like Mother like daughter

Daughter also made her appearance on the red carpet twice this weekend – of course both times completely wrapped in the label of which she is the face. For example, Charlotte showed herself on Saturday in a dress with a dreamy, butterfly-studded top.

Maybe it’s the what baggy fit of the top, maybe it’s the unflattering peplum. Or maybe it’s the pink clutch that just doesn’t match anything or the tear in the hem of the skirt: we can’t say we’re really enthusiastic about this dress. Well, luckily Charlotte still had the next day to prove herself as a true fashion princess again, n’est-ce pas?

Perhaps Charlotte had chosen her mother’s outfit the day before as inspiration, because on Sunday the princess’s daughter appeared in black flared trousers, topped with a special sparkly jacket, which apparently comes from Chanel’s Spring 2023 Ready-to-wear collection. With a dark bag and a slicked-back haircut, the ambassador of the French label created a edgy edge to her look.

In any case, we are very curious what else she will pull out in the coming week, because the festival will run until this weekend. If we had to take a guess, we’d say Chanel.
