Ajax can again make a lot of cash this summer with the sale of players. This is the prediction of club watcher Mike Verweij, which he announces via De Telegraaf’s Kikck-Off podcast.
First of all, Verweij is asked about Jorge Sánchez, who did not make an indelible impression in Amsterdam in his first season. “There are more players who can look forward to a new club and he is certainly one of them. He has proven that he does not have the level of Ajax”, says Verweij.
Then he mentions other players who could leave, such as Mohammed Kudus. “It leads to a departure. There is also some interest from the Premier League, but that is not very concrete yet. He could be Ajax’s next cash cow. I have no idea how much it will yield, but I think you should think about forty million euros.”
“Timber has indicated at an earlier stage that there is a clause, he can leave for a certain amount,” Verweij continues. “It will be ready for the next step. Then I think that Ajax can just raise more than a hundred million euros on the transfer market.” In addition to the three mentioned, Edson Álvarez is also regularly associated with a transfer: Borussia Dortmund seems to be the most serious candidate for his arrival.
